Chill on the beach to the sound of reggae music with a drink in your hand- yeah mon!
One of the largest islands in the Caribbean, Jamaica has something for everyone from full service beaches to exciting excursions.  With an abundance of resorts stretching along the beautiful white sand beaches, luxury and pampering should be easy to find.
However, if you’re more of the independent type of traveler, you find plenty to explore.  From historic plantation houses to mountain hikes, history and nature buffs will fall in love with Jamaica too.
On a 1st Trip and want to know what to do?
Short on time:  Relax at one of the beautiful resorts right in Montego Bay- and don’t forget to snorkel at Doctor’s Cave Beach!
Perfect Beach Week:  Head to Negril and stay on the famous 7 mile beach, cliff jump at Rick’s, and snorkel at Booby Cay!
Nature Lovers:  Port Antonio is a less visited gem on the island with the John Crow Mountains, Blue Lagoon, and Reach falls- get out and explore!

Blue hole Jamaica- text overlay- Waterfalls in Jamaica

The gorgeous scenery of this island nation has been used countless times in movies like the James Bond movies Dr. No and Live and Let Die, Knight and Day, and my personal favorite- Cocktail!

Jamaica is not only famous for its beautiful landscapes, but also its incredible food.  When in Jamaica, make sure to try some of the spicy and delicious jerk and Jamaican patties.

Negril is known as the best snorkeling on the island, but there are several other great places to visit too.  I was quite impressed with the shore snorkeling from Doctor’s Cave Beach in Montego Bay!

Jamaica is full of beautiful waterfalls from the famous Dunns River Falls to the lesser known spots like Reggae Falls.

Jamaica is known for its all inclusive resorts that cater to your every need.  Sandals Resorts actually started in Jamaica and now offer several properties.

Pelican Bar

You’ll need a boat, but it’s worth it.  This rustic cool little bar is located a mile off shore and is an experience all its own.

Cliff Jumping

Rick’s Cafe in Negril is the spot to watch some incredible cliff jumping- or jump yourself!

Martha Brae River Rafting

If you’ve seen any pictures of Jamaica, you’ve seen the bamboo rafts. Gorgeous- need I say more?
